Members should use Pitchero to show their availability for forthcoming matches (preferably at the start of the season, and at least one month in advance).
Members should not feel deterred from making themselves available due to a lack of transport, as car shares and pick up points will be arranged, wherever possible.
Availability is for the club rather than for a specific team ie. the 1st XI or the Development Squad. If a member can only play in one match over another, due to a prior commitment, this should be communicated to the Captain, who will take the information to the selection committee. You can add a note to your availability in Pitchero.
The selection committee, comprised of the Coach, the Captain and the Vice-Captains, will discuss players for each team on the Monday and Tuesday before the Saturday fixture.

Selection will be based on a range of factors:
Commitment to the club
Attendance and attitude at training
Ability and fitness
The perceived standard of the opposition
Players coming back from injury, illness
The support the Development Squad need from experienced players to make their game a positive one
The selection committee’s knowledge of ‘the big picture’ ie. forthcoming availability, personal circumstances such as exams, difficulty in accessing training, family and work commitments, family bereavement etc.

Members will be notified of the team they have been selected for and the match details on the Wednesday before the Saturday fixture. This information will be posted on Pitchero and the Hunters WhatsApp Chat.
Any member who has to change their availability after the teams have been selected, should contact the Captain directly and promptly eg. ill overnight, family emergency.
